Petra lives a quiet life as a photographer in the rural landscapes of Drenthe. Surrounded by heathlands, ancient forests and peaceful villages, she struggles to leave behind a past that continues to haunt her. When strange events begin to unfold, long-buried memories resurface and reality slowly starts to shift. As old secrets emerge, Petra is forced to confront questions with no easy answers. The boundary between past and present begins to dissolve, and life itself seems to flow in the wrong direction-like a river that refuses to follow its natural course. The Reversed River is a compelling psychological literary novel about memory, loss, hope and the search for truth. With atmospheric storytelling, memorable characters and slowly building suspense, Rere Vermin takes readers into a world where nothing is quite what it seems and every answer uncovers a new mystery. A moving story about the power of the past, the courage to move forward and the unexpected paths life can take.
