Image of the Greek goddess Iustitia
(known as Justitia in ancient Rome).
She holds four aspects of a stable society:
(1) the torch of enlightenment (not displayed, hidden),
(2) the scales of justice (on the right, her left),
(3) the sword of punishment (on the left, her right),
(4) the fascia of the pillars of society, like banks and corporations (hidden).
The fire in (1) may come from Prometheus. Lady Justice in modern western societies only acknowledges the scales (2) and the sword (3). Economic control by banks and corporations is represented by the facia (4), and protection of these acts of taking from workers is achieved with a threat of violence, the sword (3). This is the ratchet racket, and for some reason the true picture is hidden.
