About

The day Daniel Cole walks into work and sees a road sign printed in reverse, he puts it down to a bad night's sleep. By the time Cygnus International assigns his team to audit a secret project called Snow White, he knows something has gone badly wrong.
Snow White is built around a quantum mirror, an impossible surface that reads living bodies, tears them apart and rebuilds them somewhere else. The sales pitch calls it transport. The buried reports call it something closer to erasure.
Dragged into the first human trial, Daniel returns alive but altered. Reflections lag. Text reverses. His body slips in and out of phase, giving him the ability to step through walls and fold distance around his voice. Every use leaves its mark.
While Cygnus executives Richter and Rousseau rush to weaponise the mirror, Daniel and his team uncover sabotaged audits, missing volunteers and plans to hand the technology to the highest bidder. Internal reviews turn into interrogations. Security chief Kessler starts treating them as a problem to be removed, not staff to be protected.
Trapped between a corporation that treats people as data and a power that unsettles his own mind, Daniel has to choose whether he remains the careful man who survived by following rules, or becomes Riftborne, the one person who can turn Cygnus's creation against them.
The Riftborne Origins launches a grounded science fiction series about corporate power, quantum technology and the personal cost of stepping outside the world everyone else agrees to see.
