Most people fight their thoughts.
Richard Johnson learned to transform them.
The Pure O Alchemist is a raw, compassionate, and transformative journey through the hidden world of obsessive anxiety-often called "Pure O," short for Purely Obsessional OCD. Through vivid storytelling and hard-won insight, Johnson reveals how years of panic, shame, and relentless self-analysis became the foundation for a new kind of power: focus, discipline, and emotional freedom.
This is not a clinical guide or a self-help formula. It's a survival manual written from the inside-an honest map for anyone who feels trapped in their own mind.
Through stories of breakdown and recovery, Johnson shows how obsession itself can be refined into strength. You'll learn how he turned control into calm, doubt into clarity, and fear into fuel.
Inside these pages, you'll discover:
• Why control is the real addiction behind anxiety-and how letting go begins the cure.
• How physical movement ("sweat before thought") rewired his nervous system.
• The rituals and daily structure that rebuilt his sanity from the ground up.
• The deeper spiritual lesson of Pure O: peace isn't found by escaping fear, but by holding it.
Part memoir, part manual, The Pure O Alchemist is written for anyone who has lived too long in the mind's noise-thinkers, perfectionists, creators, and high-performers who crave relief without losing their intensity.
It's a book about turning pain into precision, turning control into command, and rediscovering what it means to be alive.
Who It's For:
• Readers battling intrusive thoughts, Pure O, or anxiety loops.
• Overthinkers and high-achievers ready to transform obsession into clarity.
• Anyone seeking grounded, embodied healing-beyond "positive thinking."
Key Message:
You're not broken. You're powerful-just unrefined.
And when you learn to hold your own fire, everything changes.
