For five years, Siobhan Randal has been just a mom: school mornings, a quiet house in Idaho, three kids who think her "book" is a hobby. It's not. It's the only thing keeping the operative she used to be buried.
Then a man from her past knocks on her door with two words that end the routine for good: she's gone. Her daughter Abi, a Navy officer, has been taken in a targeted strike on her own ship, not random, not collateral. Deliberate. And the trail leads straight back to a part of Siobhan's history she thought she'd sealed shut forever, including a secret about Abi's origins that Siobhan has kept for over twenty years.
As Siobhan and her former partner race across continents to bring Abi home, her teenage son is left to protect his younger brothers from threats that have already reached their own front door. And in a cell half a world away, Abi is fighting to survive captivity long enough to confront the father she never knew she had.
The Other Her is a high-velocity military thriller about the woman a mother becomes when there's nothing left to lose - and book one of the Randal Trilogy.
