The One

The thing that links us together as a human race may not be God. It may just be that we were all children once; we all know what it was like to make up the monsters in the closet or under the bed and realize we feel alone in a scary world. We all know we were scared once and didn’t know how to tell anybody. So we made something up. Maybe that’s all I see when I see people shouting. They are scared, saying there are all kinds of monsters around the corner and trying to convince you its real, when they really mean, Im scared, over here, this is where it hurts. And if it is just that, that we were all scared children once, and we seem to still be doing it. For me it begs the question:

Did we ever stop creating the monsters in the closet?
