The book "The Old Testament: Poems of Hope and Warning" are poems written from various perspectives in a layered message style. The divine treasure of the Old Testament was given to us to use by those earthly vessels seeking God in the eternities. Is God still talking to us? Genetically we have remained unchanged for thousand of years. We think the same, communicate the same, and have the same basic dreams and ambitions we have always had since recorded history began. Though the Old Testament is thousands of years old, it still contains the foundation of much of modern thought while accurately describing sequences of rising and falling civilizations. The author Garret Passmore leads you on a journey of discovery by sharing his personal encounters with the Old Testament. He presents poems of this ancient script which provides deep ageless spiritual power. Some of these poems reflect words from the teacher of faith to the student of belief; or from messengers of God requesting the listener to turn their life towards the Lord; or from the Lord speaking, or from the repentant soul praying. As you read these perspectives you will gain new insight into the Old Testament's beauty and wisdom. You may discover a multifaceted gem of wisdom that can transform your life. These poems were written in hopes that they will renew your the soul with a fascinating and memorable glimpse of sacred stories of the Old Testament through poems packed with the wisdom of the ages. I believe that as we consider the writings of the Old Testament, that we too will have spiritual adventures that will touch and influence our lives for good. I believe that as you read the divine work of the Old Testament you will see things that are relevant to your life.
