The Nootka Sound Controversy: A Dissertation

This work presents an extended account of the Nootka Sound incident. This controversy was a conflict over the seizure of vessels at Nootka Sound, an inlet on the western coast of Vancouver Island, that almost provoked a war between Great Britain and Spain. The accurate history presented in this work resulted from intense research and was drawn mainly from unpublished resources.
