This is one of a series of African Stories. African fork stories are not meant to be entertaining only but wisdom is passed from one generation to another. Monkey was a friend to all animals in the jungle. However, in his pursuit of ripe mangoes, he ends up in trouble with the mean Crocodile who wants to eat his heart. It took not only wisdom to escape, but also forgiveness for the monkey to survive and rise to honor and dignity in the Jungle.
