The Living Corpse: A Vampire Tale
The Living Corpse: A Vampire Tale
In a mystical land, pious saints with powers aid the needy. One saint, seeking to widen his influence, plans a faux miracle.
He ventures into a new kingdom, displaying his powers. A corpse is prepared, mourners gather, and the saint's act is set to unfold.
Assembled crowds watch as he commands the corpse to rise. Astonished, their skepticism turns to faith, marveling at the miracle.
The spectacle spreads his fame, attracting even the wise king, who seeks the saint's aid to revive fallen soldiers, saving the kingdom.
The saint, aware of the impossibility, feigns consideration. That night, he disappears, leaving a legacy of his 'resurrection' miracle.
His cunning ploy, exploiting faith for fame, becomes a legend. A tale of belief's power and the dangers of deception is born.
