For Tony Truman, that question was a life sentence. From the dusty baseball diamonds of Queens to the smoke-filled hallways of the World Trade Center, and finally to the highest corridors of power, Tony spent eighty years trying to outrun the silence of his own history.
A promising pitcher whose dreams were shattered by a single pitch, a soldier haunted by the ghosts of war, and a cop who realized the law is a tourniquet, Tony never stopped trying to write a better draft of a world that refused to stay fixed. Through every uniform he wore, one constant remained: Leyna, the woman who provided the quiet when the noise of the world became too loud.
But power comes at a price that no budget can balance. Now, as the years fold like paper and his own memories begin to fade, Tony must confront the one rule every writer hates to admit: No matter how much power you hold, you cannot edit the past, and you cannot rewrite the final act.
The Last Draft is a sweeping American epic about the artifacts we carry, the legacies we leave behind, and the courage it takes to finally put the pen down.
