About
In this enduring tale for all ages, lecturer Sandy Smith tells how Belinda, a monarch butterfly, wriggles from her cocoon and dries and spreads her wings. She is ready and eager to begin the next phase of her Journey. She is ready for a challenge!
Meanwhile, her younger cousin Calvin, still a caterpillar, lounges on a nearby leaf with his cap bill shading his eyes. He does not look forward to any change in his life, much less a Journey. "I'm comfortable right where I am," he tells his cousin.
Sandy explains how this tale has a universal application. "Through my work in organizations I see those that are stuck and not growing even though they have the potential - the employees have the potential and many managers have the potential. A lot of organizations are struggling just like individuals without seeing that we can become more successful than we are."
