About

Twelve-year-old African American twins, MALIA, and MICAH, OLIVER, aren't what you would call the top dogs of the middle school social food chain. With her brute strength and no-can-do attitude, Malia has the likes of Serena Williams on her radar, and nothing will stop her from athletic greatness. Well, except for one thing: her clumsy twin, Micah. But it's Micah's analytical nature and biological research tendencies that get him to think about the creepy noises that haunt their house at night, the weird calls that plague his dreams, and the family dog who won't quit yapping at Malia's closet...

One night, when Malia's had enough of her dog's barking, she rips through the closet and discovers a hidden room beneath her clothes. She and Micah uncover the reason behind the strange energy that plagues their home. Inside the secret room is their long-dead grandfather...who seems very much alive. But it isn't.

The twins discover their unique talents-Malia's strength and Micah's brain-indicate a family legacy bestowed only upon twins: the gift of dream jumping. Dazed and a little bit freaked out after seeing their ghostly grandfather, Malia and Micah accept his proposal to attend the Dream Jumpers Academy and fulfill their legacy to guide children to follow their dreams (by actually being in their dreams).

Thrust into this new world of flying electronic squares, a school filled with sets of twins all vying to perfect their skills, and a darkness that lurks around every corner, Malia and Micah navigate the Academy.
But it isn't easy for Micah to learn how to fly and even more challenging for Malia to control her hot temper. Dream Jumping bully extraordinaire Jackson Cannon makes the twin's life hell by rallying the other students against them. Never mind, by being irritatingly good at being a dream jumper.

Fortunately, the twins find solace in friends that have their back. , But they find out convincing kids to follow their dreams is more complicated than it looks-Micah buckles under the pressure of their new assignment and Jackson's bullying. Tensions heighten with Jackson's unrelenting taunting and a friendly game of dodgeball gone deadly. Micah unravels under stress and feels that something dark and terrible has been following him and Malia since they stepped foot in the Academy...

An emergency alarm confirms his suspicions as the students evacuate to a bunker after an attack from the dangerous WRATHTORS, the Academy's long-lasting enemy. Malia feels weak as she cowers with her friends for the first time. But something possesses Micah, and suddenly he can "see" the pieces through the Wrathtors plan of attack and assists his teachers in fending them off.
