About

About the Book:

In franchising, success is often measured in numbers-revenue, growth, and expansion. But behind every thriving franchise system lies something far more powerful: the relationship between franchisor and franchisee.

In The Happy Partner, Dustin Hansen reveals why the strength of this partnership is often the deciding factor between struggling franchise brands and those that scale successfully. Drawing on nearly two decades of real-world experience, Hansen introduces the concept of the "Happy Bank," a practical framework that explains how everyday interactions-communication, support, trust, and collaboration-create emotional deposits that strengthen a franchise system over time.

Through practical examples, case studies, and actionable insights, the book explores how small decisions and behaviors can either build strong partnerships or slowly erode them. More importantly, it shows how franchisors and franchisees can work together to create a culture of trust, alignment, and shared success.

The Happy Partner is not just a guide to franchising-it is a blueprint for building stronger business relationships that lead to long-term growth, profitability, and a healthier franchise network.

About the Author:

Dustin Hansen is an entrepreneur, franchise leader, and board advisor with nearly two decades of experience in the global franchising industry. He began his entrepreneurial journey at 23 as a co-founder of InXpress, a logistics franchise that grew to more than 500 locations across 14 countries and generated nearly $500 million in annual revenue.

Throughout his career, Hansen has worked alongside some of the most respected leaders and brands in franchising, gaining deep insight into what makes franchise partnerships succeed-or fail. His experience has shaped his belief that the most successful franchise systems are built not just on business models, but on strong relationships.

Through The Happy Partner, Hansen shares the lessons, strategies, and perspectives gained throughout his journey, helping franchisors and franchisees strengthen their partnerships and unlock the full potential of their businesses.
