God's own testimony in the book of Isaiah of his reality includes both the material and the spiritual realms. Here he lays out in chapters 40–66 who he is, what he expects, and what he will do to bring a rebellious humanity back to himself-eventually through his "Servant of the Lord" (Christ), and later through his church, the mystical body of Christ on earth.
