Autumn Lee, a beautiful Chinese lawyer, and Dan OConnell, a handsome and brilliant investment banker, have all the right credentials from top universities and firms, and appear to be a highly successful young couple climbing the ladder of success, money and power in New York. Yet each has a secret larcenous streak nurtured by a deep resentment of others wealth and a desire for much more immediate gratification. This quietly foments in them as they develop a plan to take advantage of their unique knowledge of global finance to steal millions - without having to work decades to earn it. When fortune provides them the chance to move to Hong Kong together, Autumn finds her developing ethnic awareness as a Chinese woman in a Chinese city becoming larger and larger part of her attitudes and feelings, and other men interest her too. Unknown to her, her father has kept track of her all these years and suddenly she learns she has family, but her father’s position comes as a shock to her and sets the stage for the culmination of the incredible theft she and Dan began to plan long ago. Intrigue, exotic locales, the little seen worlds of investment banking, corporate law and global money, beautiful women, sailing and crime come together in this dynamic, highly readable new novel.
