The precarious balance between human and assassin rested on a knifes edge, but Amelia was one of the few who had successfully mastered it. And, oh, how quickly . . . It all started when I was about 12 years old. The man in black . . . the foreigner . . . but I knew one thing: I loved him. And at some point, Id loved both of them. It could've all been so much different, could've ended so many different ways. But the paths we chose led us to the inevitable, led us to each other in a time when everything depended on us to put a stop to the evil that threatened to destroy the world. My name is Amelia Reichert. This is my story. And this is how it all began.
