All Haisley Herrington's ever wanted is to own the inn she grew up visiting every summer, but now there's something else-someone-she wants more.
The owners of the Swallowtail Inn are retiring and want a young married couple to take over. Haisley's been too busy running the inn to date, making her ineligible for their silly, hopelessly romantic newlywed competition. Then, while tending to a handsome, persnickety guest, she receives an offer she can't refuse: a marriage of convenience.
The problem? If she were a character in a Rom-Com, having a gorgeous doctor propose marriage would be a dream come true. But the last time she checked, this was the real world, she was a plain Jane inn manager, and Dr. Perfect ironed his underwear.
Okay, Dr. Asa Neven isn't so perfect. After a traumatic experience, the heart surgeon is filling a prescription for R&R at the inn. He'll do anything to be reinstated, even enter a fake marriage. Haisley does need a husband, so maybe they can help each other. As the competition progresses, the lines blur between their arrangement and a real love straight from the pages of a fairy tale.
