This early work by Arthur Benjamin Reeve was originally published in 1915 and we are now republishing it with a brand new introductory biography. 'The Exploits of Elaine' features super-sleuth Professor Craig Kennedy who is sometimes referred to as "The American Sherlock Holmes" due to his astounding ability at crime solving and his Watson-like sidekick Walter Jameson, a newspaper reporter. 'The Exploits of Elaine,' tells the story of a young woman named Elaine who, with the help of Kennedy, tries to find the man, known only as "The Clutching Hand", who murdered her father.
