The Equitable Equine by Anya Gupta is an inspiring and thought-provoking children's novel that introduces young readers to the concept of equity in a fun and engaging way.
When Essie and her friends arrive at school, they notice peculiar things happening-new technology appearing on some computers, unexpected meal tickets in lunchboxes, and an unusual feeling that something is watching over them. But it isn't until Indira arrives with an extraordinary companion-a talking horse named the Equitable Equine-that the mystery begins to unfold.
With the help of a magical pair of glasses, the Equitable Equine shows the students the invisible challenges their peers face, from learning disabilities to access to resources. Through heartwarming adventures and lighthearted humor, Essie and her friends learn the difference between equality and equity-and how small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
