Moving to a new city, in a new country, comes with its own complications. But meeting someone in this new city from your home country feels a little like a confirmation of your life choices. Having an inexplicable connection to that someone feels like destiny. Not every connection is what it seems on the surface, however. When Evi meets Peter in Paris, he instantly feels like home to her. It's a feeling she's never had, nor can she explain it, but she knows she can't let it go. What begins as a relationship seemingly written in the stars quickly becomes something else entirely. While trying to navigate this relationship, secrets long buried are uncovered, exposing a disturbing global trend that could have implications for generations to come. Loosely based on real events, The Dutch Connection has been fictionalized for entertainment. However, the issues discussed within are very real and worthy of our attention. Change begins with awareness, and this story is meant to shine a light on a growing industry that may or may not be as benevolent as purported.
