The real-world counterpart to the fantastic James Bond novel Diamonds Are Forever, it centers around an interview with John Collard, a member of the International Diamond Security Organization (IDSO), as well as the circumstances surrounding their meeting.
Collard explains the IDSO through a mix of examples and history, detailing the corruption and crime that he observed. The book's contents were so incisive that De Beers (who originally pushed with the IDSO's creation) threatened legal action.
