If you love someone, and something stands in the way of their last chance, is there anything you wouldn't do to save them? For Norindra, Captain of The Sunfeaster, the answer is “No.” After winning a devastating intergalactic war, she and her crew of celestial pirates found no peace waiting for them. Her lover, Ryonn, has been gravely injured in a raid, and only one thing can save him now: the last Coreopsi—a planet with a golden core that she can use to heal his mortal wound. But when innocents stand between her and her lover's life, protected by an ancient, near-immortal guardian, whose death will feed the Emptiness? Experience a tale of love, wrath, war, and rage in this villainous dark fantasy short story set in the furthest corner of space, and decide for yourself how far is too far for love. Trigger Warnings: Violence, mild profanity, and character death.
