The hero riders are pinned down and about to die. And Alex and the Boundless aren't allowed to help.
But that doesn't work for Alex. She doesn't care that she's a recruit, just off of her first mission. She doesn't care that the Middang3ard forces are mobilizing to help the hero riders. Alex knows she can help. She knows that her team of Boundless are needed.
But their dragons are grounded.
The human forces don't want to send new recruits into what they believe is certain death. They know the hero riders are going to die... but rather than risk Alex and her team to save them, they'd rather her do nothing.
Alex isn't good at doing nothing.
Alex is going to answer the hero riders' call. She is going to ride. But she'll need to go against the Middang3ard forces do it.
