A Foreword from Mrs. Claus
The month of December is filled with holiday celebrations and observances all over the world. Almost everyone has one holiday or a special celebration every year. You are probably familiar with the most popular ones like Christmas, New Year's, Hanukkah, Ramadan, and Kwanzaa, but there are several more obscure days marked by different cultures. There is the Buddhists' Bodhi Day; The Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, celebrated in Mexico; Yule, observed by northern Scandinavians; and the Zoroastrians' Zarathosht Diso, but my favorite is Christmas! In fact, there are other holidays in December directly related to Christmas! Catholics everywhere mark St Nicholas Day, Immaculate Conception Day, (and in January they also observe Epiphany, and in Great Britain, they celebrate Boxing Day on the day after Christmas, where traditionally servants were given the day off and a gift in a box. Christmas is celebrated by millions of people all over the world, and while there are always parties, parades, light displays, and shoppers in a frenzy to find that perfect something for everyone on their list, But nowhere on earth is as busy as we are at the North Pole. May your Christmases always be filled with joy, wonder, and gratitude.
