When you choose to support a mom-and-pop store over shopping for mass-produced clothes at the mall, or when you vote for political representatives who will fight for climate action, you are, in my opinion, DOING THE THING. As corporations continue to greenwash their wasteful, capitalist practices, they persist in putting the responsibility of addressing climate change on the consumer instead of truly reducing waste and pollution. This is your chance to break that cycle.
This catalog will help you navigate LA's "circular economy" by showing you how to support local makers and farmers who produce produce and goods for our local communities, keeping our dollars invested in our neighbors, cities, and urban farms.
This book is circular, too- you can choose to start or stop reading at any point. Want to be a grower or maker? We have co-operative info for you. Want to support local mom-and-pop shops? We have that too. Have you always wanted a small patch of dirt to grow your own produce in, and maybe to swap your harvest with other neighbors, too? Let's dig in.
