Molly left her hometown with her boyfriend, John, as fast as she could after she graduated from college in hopes of outrunning her past. At age 23, Molly is no stranger to loss. She lost her brother Jax right before her sophomore year of high school, her best friend Max her junior year of college, and now her dad. Molly got the heartbreaking call that her father, the police chief of their little town, had been murdered only seven months after she thought she had finally escaped the death that seemed to follow her everywhere. A funeral, a devastated mother, and little information about what happened to her dad meant Molly had to return to the town that no longer felt like home. Many surprises await her as she returns, including a man from her past. A man who was now investigating her father's murder, and a man who is making her feel things she wishes she didn't. Will Molly be able to get to the bottom of what happened to her dad and get closure for all those she has lost? Or will she wish she had never come back?
