When Ellie, a devout religious studies major, inherits a lakeside house, she also inherits a cursed Catholic relic buried on the property. As her life spirals into a series of reckless decisions, she teams up with Aaron, a handsome mystic. Together they strive to uncover the historical mystery behind the curse and reclaim her soul before it's too late. Later they team up with Ashley, Ellie's roommate, and Aaron's friend, Liam, and face a series of obstacles in their attempts to help the relic achieve its true purpose.
The Buried Relic weaves real historical figures and events into a contemporary setting to create a paranormal romance between a college student with a goal of becoming a minister and a successful mystic. Ellie and Aaron are "fated mates," connected by a supernatural force. Their bond isn't just emotional. It's psychic. The novel is also a story about the struggle between free will and external influence. This is Steve Lindahl's tenth novel. His other books have won multiple awards from the CIPA EVVY Awards, the Chanticleer Book Awards-Mystery & Mayhem category, and the Bookfest Book Awards.
