For fans of Nalini Singh, Charlaine Harris and Heather Killough-Walden, the first novel in The Greater Good trilogy by gifted storyteller Lyndell Casella will enthral readers.
The hunter becomes the hunted... Angelic messenger Fallon was created to hunt and foil evil. Over time, she has thwarted many of her fallen brothers' wicked plans for mankind. But every victory was stained with guilt for those she couldn't save from the relentless creep of malevolence spreading across the earth. The Blood Tree alone seemed to reassure Fallon that one day this too would change, and that once again the celestial and earthly worlds would be reunited. Tired of being a warrior against darkness, Fallon elects, without authorisation, to go on a more light-filled mission. A mission that goes horribly wrong. Racked with guilt and determined to make amends, Fallon does something that has never been done before: she becomes human to appease a mortal family's grief. Abandoned by most of her own kind in the Silver City for breaking their edicts, the now-human Fallon is exposed and in great danger. With no memory of herself as a powerful angel, Fallon becomes Gabrielle, a beautiful blonde-haired, green-eyed girl who grows up in Far North Queensland. But, inexplicable tragedy after tragedy seem to plague her human existence. Aided by her earthly friends as well as one angelic name-day sister, will Fallon remember, who she really is before she is defeated by the darkness? Will her connection to the ancient Blood Tree give her human self the strength to continue her fight for the greater good? Or, will she be forsaken to suffer in this place that is not her true home?
