This is one of the first film scripts by Ilya Ilf and Yevgeni Petrov. This is a mute film, so-called ‘socialistic comedy’. This is a story about the brigade of the builders-concreters, who are building a huge dam for the new hydroelectric power station and about their brigadier Bitiugov. This is a story, when the campaign of glorification and praising of the modest and simple workers reaches the grandiose and just unbelievable level, from which the workers feel the bad results themselves.
