You spend decades building something. Then one day, it goes on without you.
P. Scott Bening was the CEO of the science-driven company that enabled one of the most recognizable consumer products in the world, Tide Pods. When he retired from that role, he found himself asking a question many ambitious professionals spend their entire careers avoiding: What now?
In The Back Nine, Scott shares the unvarnished truth about what comes next: the grief no one warns you about, the mentorship that gives retirement its meaning, the fairness battles that follow you off the field, and the social shifts that make the world feel both unrecognizable and full of possibility.
With the candor of a seasoned leader and the warmth of someone who's been exactly where you are, this book is for anyone who refuses to believe the best rounds are behind them.
