Survival was just the beginningThe Aftermath follows the six survivors of The Wind Cave as they re-enter the country after being trapped for the last thirty days. Finally able to discover what happened in their absence, the group emerges to find their country ravaged by war. With many of their loved ones dead, their homes destroyed and their futures now uncertain, they must each forge new lives from the fragments that remain. In the middle of devastation, love is found…and death in its saddest form. Through love and heartbreak, pain and sacrifice, new alliances are made and old bonds destroyed. As news reaches them that terrorist forces are preparing for the final attack, they will discover what is truly important – and what survival really means. When a nuclear war devastates the U.S., a four-day excursion quickly turns into a fight for survival in The Cave. Six Stanford students journey into one of the deepest and longest caves in North America. A day into their journey, a nuclear war begins from within the U.S. Unable to return to the surface, and unsure what they will find when they do, the Cave will test the strength and survival of each person differently - transforming six individuals into a team, and ultimately...a family.
