THE AI READY CLASSROOM Preparing Educators for the Future of Learning By Matthew J. Welker, Ed.D. Artificial intelligence is already reshaping classrooms. The question is no longer whether it will influence education but whether educators are prepared to use it well. The AI Ready Classroom provides a clear, grounded framework for understanding what AI means for teaching, learning, and educational leadership. Drawing on decades of experience and current research, Dr. Matthew J. Welker moves beyond hype and fear to show how educators can integrate AI in ways that strengthen not diminish human learning. This book explores how AI can support instruction, personalize learning, and expand access, while also addressing critical concerns around bias, privacy, authorship, and academic integrity. Throughout, it emphasizes a central principle: technology should serve thoughtful teaching, not replace it. Inside, you'll find: • • Practical frameworks for integrating AI into everyday instruction • Guidance on maintaining academic integrity in an AI-rich environment • Strategies for balancing efficiency with professional judgment • Clear explanations of ethical and equity considerations • Insights for teachers, school leaders, and teacher educators Rather than offering quick fixes, The AI Ready Classroom equips educators to think clearly, act deliberately, and lead confidently in a time of rapid change.
