Sunlight, the debut poetry collection from Barbara Chung, illuminates the joy of being alive even in a deeply troubled world. It reveals the magic in life's day-to-day moments, whether tending a garden, sharing food with friends, or caring for beloved dogs. The poems move delicately and gracefully between the ordinary and the transcendent, tracing the ways they are, bound together. In doing so, Sunlight celebrates beauty in life as a worthy end for its own sake and as a means of survival, perseverance, and transformation.
