Former Army Ranger Mathys Stikman is trying to stay out of trouble as he walks his beat as a cop in Portland, Maine, but trouble finds him just as it has his whole life. He is forced to help his friend, Senior Homicide Detective Benny Coleman, investigate a murder, which puts Mathys in danger and on the brink of disaster at every turn. Scott Jordan recently retired after a long career as a teacher in Maine and Florida. He is writing, traveling with his wife Donna, and enjoying family time to stay busy.
