Vicki Paris Goodman's enlightening memoir is a must-read for those who strive for perfection but sometimes find themselves tripping over hurdles of their own making. Whether you're a driven professional, someone juggling countless responsibilities, or a type B hard-pressed to decipher the motivations of a type A in your life, Speed Bumps will resonate with your own reality. Goodman's tell-all unmasks the little-known trials of life as viewed through the lens of a type A personality. With fierce honesty and abundant humor, she takes readers on a captivating journey exposing the perils of holding oneself and others to an impossibly high standard. Goodman steers clear of a clinical analysis of the type A, instead focusing on her personal triumphs and failures. She reveals how her relentless pursuit of excellence often became an obstacle rather than a path to success. Her vivid storytelling paints a picture of the internal and external pitfalls encountered by those who live life in overdrive. Speed Bumps is not just a memoir, but a guide to understanding the importance of self-awareness and humility. The book's narrative encourages readers to reflect on their own experience, and offers insights illuminating the path to greater balance and fulfillment.
