Fred Sanders is almost seven and dreams of one thing only: becoming an intergalactic space ranger. He reads about them, talks about them, and imagines every spare moment of his day whisked away on daring missions with his hero, Zando Centauri.
So when a real rocket lands in his front garden-complete with roaring engines, blowing curtains, and Zando Centauri himself stepping out-Fred can hardly believe his eyes. Within minutes he is suited up, strapped in, and blasting away from the boredom of his bedroom towards the far reaches of the galaxy.
But Zando hasn't come for a simple joyride. Emperor Gandori of planet Jambori is facing a crisis. He has been given a pair of very special shoes from a neighbouring world... and they have shoelaces. No one on Jambori has the faintest idea what to do with them. The ball is tonight, and without help, the Emperor risks causing a cosmic diplomatic disaster. Luckily, Earth has just the right expert: a space ranger-in-training who has recently mastered the art of tying laces.
Join Fred as he zooms past Jupiter, lands in a colourful alien castle, and teaches a puzzled emperor the magic of bunny ears and loops. Packed with imagination, gentle humour, and the joy of everyday achievements, Space Ranger Fred and The Shoelace Adventure celebrates confidence, curiosity, and the belief that even small skills can save the day.
For young readers who love adventure-with a sprinkle of silliness and a whole galaxy of fun.
