I was poorly educated and battered. Overcoming adversity as a child, being physically abused and sexually assaulted, against the odds, I became a surgeon who has saved many lives. My story will explain how I became a surgeon, a qualified barrister and then lay minister. When you have read it, I hope it will give you confidence and hope to succeed in all of your life's uncertain circumstances. I'll show you what it is like to train as a surgeon, work as one and what life in the NHS is really like. You will read about death, emergency surgery and tragic circumstances and how they are dealt with. Find your hope in my story!
