Snowball was born in the late fall of 1976 soley to entertain the kids of the author, Keith Gonyea. After the kids had heard the story for a couple of Christmas seasons it was relegated to a box of Keith’s Stuff and put in the basement. The story speaks for itself and there was really never an intent to publish Snowball.
It sat there for about 30 years until Keith’s daughter, Michelle, asked if he still had a copy of Snowball. Keith searched for a couple days but could not come up with the elusive box of Keith’s Stuff so he dusted off the grey matter and rewrote the story totally from memory.
The story of Snowball was written entirely to entertain kids and those who remain kids at heart. There certainly are no claims that it is great literature for the ages...some will like it, some will tolerate it, and some will despise it. It is intended to entertain and hopefully generate that most beautiful thing...a smile on the face of an innocent child.
