Post-kidnapping, Libby Wyatt isn't in a good place. Unhoused, kicked out of her performing arts college, prone to panic attacks and unable to sleep, she's desperate to put her life back together and stay upbeat about it. When busking doesn't cover expenses she takes a job singing jazz at a private BDSM club. As a favour to a friend, she helps out in a Japanese rope bondage class. She wasn't expecting bondage to relax her, but it does. She really wasn't expecting to run into Michael, who accidently rescued her months before. He wants to help, but she's surviving just fine on her own. All she needs is to win one stupid opera audition and she'll be back on track. Michael Ballard, having been dumped by his boyfriend, is feeling great. He's got a nice apartment in Toronto, a much better job, and a cat. But he could use some human companionship, and when he stumbles over Libby again he thinks he might have found a friend. Except Libby's not well-he knows PTSD when he sees it-and her method of coping is a little tricky for both of them. He can't just disregard her pain, not when he can ease it somewhat. Ending up roommates made a certain kind of sense. Ending up in shibari classes together is workable. Ending up falling for the same guy? Really could mess things up. Because Ray is perfect. Handsome, compassionate, fun, and attracted to them both. They just don't know it yet. And when Ray discovers the kinky nature of their relationship, he might not let them find out.
