About
My book, Simon The Christmas Tree Flea, was inspired by my beloved grandniece, Alexis. Over a period of 13 years the story never left my memory.
I don’t know where the idea of a Christmas tree flea came from except that it was probably at Christmas time.
Alexis loves animals, reptiles and bugs so I suppose that is what made me think of a flea.
My little niece is very family oriented so maybe that is why I had to add a family twist to it.
My little niece is very close to my husband and I and was separated from us for a few months and our reunion was where I got the last sentence from.
Upon our reunion she put her little hands around my face and said aunt Sue (my middle name) me so love you, I just thought that it was a fitting ending.
