Silver Icon is a short story about a day in the life of a typical American worker at a typical American corporation during a reduction in workforce action. Job elimination, off-shoring, and systemic layoffs to reduce costs are commonplace in today's workforce. This is the story of Rick, an information technology worker, who experiences this ever-repeating story in America. Live through his eyes as he experiences the sights, sounds, and emotions of a job elimination action by his company. Nick S. Nicholas is the pen name for an author who loves storytelling in video and tabletop role-playing fantasy games. His passion is writing stories involving lore, especially high fantasy, paranormal, supernatural, romance, dark fiction, and sci-fi genres. Sometimes, he writes book reviews on his blog, but he prefers writing a story or book to blogging. He grew up on Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica and Buck Rodgers in the 25 Century, Spider-man, The Avengers, and The X-Men.
