It's 1950 and Charlie Bassett has been working in the commercial airline industry. But once in the RAF - it seems you're theirs forever.
Called back to active duty, Charlie is sent up to Scotland for training. He doesn't know where he'll be sent or what he'll be doing. When it turns out that Egypt will be his next port of call he's more than a little disappointed. What could there possibly be to interest him there?
Quite a lot as it turns out. Egypt is a land of opportunties for the enterprising mind - and Charlie is nothing if not enterprising. David Fiddimore was born in 1944 in Yorkshire and is married with two children. He worked for five years at the Royal Veterinary College before joining HM Customs and Excise, where his work included postings to the investigation and intelligence divisions. Nobody's War is the third novel in the Charlie Bassett trilogy. With his first novel, Tuesday's War, David Fiddimore reached the final of the first ever Richard & Judy How to Get Published competition. His last book was The Hidden War and he is currently working on a new adventure featuring Charlie Bassett.
