Sideways Wishes

Seventh grader Kit loves baseball more than anything else in the world. Well, except maybe Todd. He loves baseball, too, and has a smile that turns her into a babbling fool. But Todd is an eighth grader. Worse, he thinks of Kit as 'just one of the guys.' Ouch. When a mysterious woman gives Kit a stone with equally mysterious powers, Kit thinks all her secret wishes will come true -- and they do. Unfortunately, the stone puts its own unpredictable twist on Kit's wishes, and she's left to deal with the not-so-great consequences.
