About
A plane crash brings Grace Ryan into the orbit of Malachi Slaughter and Ryker Smythe. Thinking practically, Grace accepts a marriage proposal from the older Ryker, despite her obvious feelings towards the younger Malachi. Their decision to part ways is one that they will come to rue.
Complex motives underpin Malachi's subsequent decision to support Ryker's business in remote Australia. Ryker's deeply masked leadership in the toxic world of illicit drugs, and the greed this trade unleashes, triggers untimely deaths, violence and brutality.
When Malachi finds his mistress dead from drugs that he imported, his world is shattered. The reappearance of Grace deepens his resolve and convinces him that now is the time to right the wrongs of the past and the present and go after Ryker.
Set across Europe, the United States and Australia, Shadows brings together a disparate cast of characters affected by Ryker's greed who join forces to bring about justice. Their target is clear, but can they outsmart the man who has all the cards and is willing to go to any lengths to protect his empire...
