Josie thought protecting was in her blood, that it would come easy. She and her terminally ill best friend, Rodney, had it all planned out-graduation, her career as a Protector, their future... No amount of training could've prepared her for the day she lost everything. A remorseless Mage army, intent on reviving their sordid persecution against Vampires, slaughters their schoolmates, thrusting them into a world that needs protection, too. Now they have to fight to escape capture and warn the Mythos of what's to come. Or face the same historical fate that rewrote their world decades ago.
