Milly Miller thought opening a cosy Chelsea cafe would be simple: bake scones, sip tea, and enjoy a little peace after all the chaos...But between a sharp-tongued Siamese cat, a glamorous ghostly flatmate, and enchanted shortbread with unexpected side effects, her "fresh start" is anything but calm.Things take a turn when a cantankerous landlord winds up dead… and Prill, Milly's resident ghost, suspects the past might be catching up with the present. Suddenly, Milly finds herself caught in a swirling mess of gossip, scandal and a hint of Regency-era secrets – with danger brewing faster than a pot of Earl Grey.Magic, mayhem and mischief are on the menu… and if Milly can't get to the bottom of it, her cafe – and her quiet life – might just be scone but not forgotten.Perfect for fans of magical twists, witty heroines, talking cats, and a dash of time-bending chaos.
