When best friends Sammy Squirrel and Rodney Raccoon decide to explore the world beyond their home of Stanley Park, Vancouver, an adventure is what they're after and it is certainly what they get. Swept out to sea, the woodland creatures embark on an unexpected journey to a mysterious new land, where they help resolve a crisis they never expected to encounter.
A Vancouver native, Duane Lawrence enjoys regular walks in beautiful Stanley Park. It was during one leisurely stroll that he decided to write about the animals that live there. He has previously written two chapter books for children in the primary grades, Sammy Squirrel & Rodney Raccoon: A Stanley Park Tale and Sammy Squirrel & Rodney Raccoon: To the Rescue.
