When tragedy strikes, she finds an unlikely home at the Katama Lodge on Martha's Vineyard.Elsa's eldest, Cole Steel, is on the brink of the rest of his life. Like his father before him, he's a remarkable sailor- but unlike his father, he has no wife, no children, and just the open ocean at his feet.Elsa's not entirely pleased with his reckless nature. But she knows he has the same adventurous spirit his father always had. Aiden lives through Cole, every day.Recently, Cole signed a contract to sail professionally. It's the opportunity of a lifetime- with a caveat. His boss is widely known as the toughest in the business. Other sailors who've worked beneath her have fled home, saying they can't take the heat. That boss? Her name is Whitney Silverton. She's known nothing but sailing since she was a smart-aleck little kid, growing up on her father's docks in the Florida Keys. She's the best of the best, and everyone knows it.That is until this September, when a storm threatens to swallow her, her boat, and her brand-new mentee, Cole Steel, whole. She was always a fearless woman- a woman who'd stared death in the face numerous times and laughed. But for whatever reason, this particular storm breaks her. She's frightened of the water, of herself, and of the only thing she's ever really loved- sailing.Sensitive, like his mother Elsa, Cole suggests that Whitney take refuge in one of the most beautiful places in the world: the Katama Lodge and Wellness Spa, where his mother, aunts, and step-grandmother work to strengthen the bodies and minds of struggling women from around the globe.Whitney is hesitant. But if she agrees to a brief stint at the Katama Lodge- her life very well might change forever.Dive into book nine of The Katama Bay Series, a heartwarming journey of motherly and sisterly love, healing, and promise for better days, all on the island of Martha's Vineyard, with its gorgeous ocean views, its endless summer days, and its bubbly cast of islanders.
