Transform your house into a living sanctuary with ritual, magic, and gratitude
Kimberly Steele defines the home as the seat of the soul; it is our personal ecosystem, rich with spirits and elemental energies. Within this context the concept of 'sacred homemaking' can be defined as a constant conversation with these spirits of place.
All too often we devalue our homes, viewing them in purely monetary terms, as collections of 'things' without consciousness or sentience. Sacred Homemaking invites us to reconsider this relationship, instead prioritising thankfulness and gratitude, to deepen our relationships with the spirits in our homes. Through the course of this book, Steele proves that by practicing gratitude, the sacred homemaker learns to communicate with such beings to bring order, balance, and serenity into the home.
Sacred Homemaking takes a clear and intuitive structure, following the wheel of the year with sections divided across the four seasons. It offers examples of different offerings and rituals that can be performed to approve the sanctity of the home. Examples include cleaning rituals; hoodoo spray; alchemical kitchen work; etheric and astral pyramids; spells; divination; folding methods; astral purification; gardening advice; haunted objects; dealing with poltergeists; and much more!
In the busy, materialistic world of the twenty-first century, Kimberly Steele's methodology is a refreshing reminder to introduce mindfulness and intention into our everyday lives, starting with something as simple, yet infinitely important, as the home.
